Hammond gets a ticket

Buckle up, they say.

It’s the law, they say.

Outgoing Knox County Commissioner Mike Hammond (and presumed Knox County Criminal Court Clerk as of September) gave knoxbeat a shout to say that he got a ticket recently for not wearing a seatbelt. His words, from an email:

… gone to the bank on saturday and was headed to my house to mow the yard and was pulled over by the highway patrol.  99 per cent of the time I wear my seat belt, but neglected to put it on since it was a short distance.  at any rate, I have to pay a ten dollar fine.

Click it or ticket, they say.
