South Knoxville newsletter

Pedestrian bridge, Riverwalk extension and a new home build to spec of the form-based code highlight the city’s latest update on the South Knox waterfront.

Check it out here, but some of the highlights (emphasis added):

The Pedestrian bridge – “The preliminary design and environmental work should be completed by September 2014 to satisfy federal grant and TDOT requirements. The proposed alignment of the pedestrian/bicycle bridge will connect the South Waterfront to the UT campus at the upper level of Thompson Boling Arena.”

New home – “… a new two-story single-family dwelling at 513 Sunshine Circle. This project is the first to meet the new SW-1 zoning requirements as part of the South Waterfront’s new Form-Based Development Code (FBC) adopted by the City in 2007″

Oh yeah, South Knoxville is open, by the way.
