Rogero descends upon the Fort

Mayor Madeline Rogero will be walking around Fort Sanders tomorrow to check out codes violations.

This is her area of specialty, among many; remember that she was on top of community development as a staffer back in the day. David Brace, head of public service, is expected to be there, along with some media types – myself included.

So if you’ve been piling trash in the sideyard, now is a good time to find a dumpster. Incidentally, this is the neighborhood in which I live. But as a renter, I’m not worried. Also we keep it pretty tidy in my parts.

People are also getting a bit fired up already on the incentives potential for the old Fulton Bellows site – where a Wal Mart and a Publix are anticipated. Take your comments there. Looking at $10 million local and $15 million federal?

That’s some coin. Maybe I can score some cash someday for building my feifdom.
