Rogero going to smart growth conference

Heard this morning that Mayor Madeline Rogero is taking off for Kansas City, Mo. this week for the New Partners for Smart Growth conference. So what is this thing?

City leader-types coming together to talk big ideas and swap what’s working in their neighborhoods. On what, specifically is hard to pin down because there are so many different (over 100) sessions. Rogero, though will be participating in a discussion on public communications and sustainability.

Other topics include climate change, equitable development, finance and development, health, green building, land preservation, redevelopment, and others.

Hopefully we’ll talk with the mayor later this week to get a little more about the talks.
